Handmade soaps vs regular ones

Handmade soaps have been making a lot of hullabaloo in recent times courtesy of the hype over vegan food and organic products during recent years. Considering the fact that regular bars contain a lot of chemicals, it even makes sense to get rid of those chemical products and move towards herbal ones. After all, these are the culprits responsible for a lot of health conditions. It is better to switch over to these natural options as they are way better in all terms as compared to their chemical counterparts.
SLES or Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate is an integral component that is used in commercial manufacturing of these products. Being a moderately toxic chemical, has been connected to various health problems such as neurotoxicity, cancer, organ toxicity, endocrine and skin diseases.
Not just that, these soaps also contain preservatives called parabens which have been found to be associated with breast cancer.
Contrary to these, natural handmade soaps are made of no chemicals and simply organic good essentials. This is the reason that there has been such a boom in the number of manufacturers offering such products in the market. What makes these cosmetic products even more popular is the fact that they have no additives, colors, or even preservatives.
These are manufactured using emollients like honey, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe. Also, herbs like chamomile, sage, coffee, oatmeal, walnut are integrated to give them additional medical benefits. Natural floral scents such as  lemon, orange, spearmint, lavender are added to give them their peculiar aroma.
The difference is clear and loud!
This is why we say that by changing from chemical to herbal products, whether for body or hair, you can reduce the chances of damage caused by toxic nature of chemical to a significant level. At the same time, as your body will be less exposed to the preservatives you can be sure to maintain it in a better manner.
However, before you actually choose a product, be sure to invest time in researching for genuine handmade soaps rather than going for any name that pops up in the market. Be sure to look for only those products which have “natural ingredients” rather than the chemical counterparts.
After all, when you know that the commercial bars are harmful for your health, you would not want to still use them and expose your body to the risk of getting harmed. Would you?
